ACHIEVEMENTS
Our quest to become a restorative company has made us an industry leader, pioneering new resource-friendly manufacturing policies and processes that put us at the front of the modern industrial revolution focused on achieving sustainability.
To date, we have achieved:
- A net absolute Greenhouse Gas Emission (GHG) reduction of 71% from 1996 baseline
- Since 1996, Interface, Inc. has globally calculated its cumulative avoided waste cost as $405 million
- Interface Inc’s global percentage of waste sent to landfill has been reduced by 67% since 1996
- Water intake per unit of production down 72% in modular carpet facilities since 1996
- 28% of total energy use is either made renewable through the purchase of Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) or received directly from renewable sources
- Total energy use per unit of output has reduced by 44% since 1996
- In Europe, we have sold 6.8 million m2 of Cool Carpet
- Since the launch in 2005 to the end of 2008, which is over 125,000 tonnes of carbon offset through Climate Care
